All warming up for this year. Mails flooding in from couples and in the region of 50 weddings confirmed for this year ... looks like it will be fun. Watch this space for updates as they happen.
(The above is certainly dated)
Well ... yes ... um.
I haven't written here for ages for fairly obvious reasons ... in a word ... should I put it down here in blue and white ... no ... bugger that ... let's just say that 99% of the weddings for this year have either been postponed to 2021 or cancelled but things happen and they are magic, even if there are only one or two so here goes:
It had to happen sooner or later and today was the day ... my first wedding of this weird year. Judith and Danilo had been in touch ages ago and I simply couldn't do their wedding so passed it on to a mate. He had a Covid scare (in the end an "all clear") and had to drop out at the last moment. What goes around comes around they say and this very much did. It was glorious, there was some rain, the only rainy day this week, but the company was stoic. Their two children were there, all keeping everything together until the rings, a lovely moment. By this time of the year I usually have 20 or 30 weddings done and, this finally being the first, I had forgotten just how much I enjoy them. The couple were great as were their guests. What can I say ... once again it was a joy to be part of and made me remember why I love doing this so much.
With one whole wedding in 2020 I think that the best thing we can do is simply put this year in past years and hope that it is all way behind us!
